Squatters Make Off With Floor?
An Otway caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report a strange burglary just before 9:30 am. The caller said there were some suspicious goings-on at a vacation home.
The house should have been empty, but a man and a woman were squatting there and she had spotted them taking things out of the residence.
When officers arrived to investigate, they discovered the door to the home open, and it seemed to have been opened by force.
There was no one inside the home, but the floor was missing, and there were soda cans on the countertops and cigarette butts. The officer tried to secure the resident and tried to find information for the homeowner.
