Cops Called When 6-year-old Acts Up
Officers responded to a Portsmouth home after a report of a parent and a 6-year-old child fighting.
Officers contacted the Juvenile Court to discuss the next steps and took an adult female and a child into custody, and transported them to the police station. Police took information for two reports.
Police headed to another home at 7 pm after a report of an adult and a juvenile fighting in the front yard. Police learned the adult was attempting to stop an underage runaway from leaving.

Child Assaulted With Rock
Officers investigated a report of an assault on a teenage girl just before 4 pm. The girl’s parents said someone hit her with a rock at Clay Park, and she had a bleeding head injury.
The parents took her to the hospital for treatment, and officers searched the park but were unable to locate anyone in reference to the call.
