Cops Search for Stranger Who Faked Way into Retirement Home

Portsmouth Police are on the hunt for a man who faked his way into the Hill View Retirement Center last Friday.

The facility contacted officers to report the incident late Monday afternoon. Portsmouth Police posted photos of a bald man with glasses roaming the halls of the locked facility. The man falsely claimed to be an agent of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to gain access.

Police said he had contact with one employee and several residents while he was inside the facility. However, they said no one was hurt during his unauthorized visit. According to PPD, “He gained access to a locked facility with probably not the best intentions. We need to identify him before he decides to go back.”

If you recognize him, call Detective Chuck Crapyou at 740-354-1600.
