Cops Search For Teens After Bizarre Allegations
Officers began a search for two teen girls after a man made a bizarre claim. He contacted 911 just before 1 am to report that two underage girls came to his Otway home and said they’d run away from home because they were going to be in trouble for molesting someone.
The man said that he told the girls to leave since he was on probation and did not want to be involved in their problems. He gave officers the number of the girls’ guardians.
The children’s guardian told officers the kids were asleep and there was no problem. When dispatch said a deputy would come by to check on the children, the guardian called back and said they were not in their bedroom.
The woman said the children were related to someone who had been convicted of rape recently. Further, the woman said the children had gone for a visit there mother a few weeks ago and admitted to their mom that they had molested the small child of a friend.
Officers checked the area and advised the nearby Bible camp to be on the look out for children who weren’t registered. Officers located the girls just before 7 am and returned them to their legal guardian.
The investigation continues.
