The Scioto County Coroner’s Office and deputies are investigating after a body was discovered in a Lucasville home.
A woman called 9-1-1 to report she’d let a man stay over at her home the night before. She’d left for work in the morning but come home in the afternoon to find him unresponsive and believed him to be dead.
While medics and deputies headed to the scene, a neighbor called to report there were several people trying to get into the house.
Medics confirmed the man was deceased, and officers sent for the Scioto County Coroner’s Office and they dispatched a transport to the scene.
Officers discovered a woman at the scene had an open warrant and took her into custody. Deputies transported her to SOMC and later booked her into the Scioto County Jail on charges of failure to appear.
The Scioto County Coroner took custody of the deceased, and officers closed up and secured the home.
