A West Portsmouth man and his wife turned up in the parking lot of the Scioto County Jail with a terrifying story. They told officers that a man they knew came into their home without permission and pointed an AK-47 at them.
The intruder threatened to shoot them and told them to fill up a bag with valuables. They managed to calm the man down, and he fled the scene on foot without taking anything.
The pair fled the residence, hopped in their vehicle, and came to Sheriff’s Office for help. The man told officers he had a video of the incident on his home security system.
Deputies took information for a report.
