A Minford couple decided to play hardball with someone who refused to leave their property.
At 12:20 pm, a woman contacted 9-1-1 to report her landlord’s son and his girlfriend had taken her mailbox out of the ground and threatened to burn down her camper.
A few minutes later, the couple called to say the woman had moved a camper onto the property and refused to leave.
Officers advised the pair that they can’t just kick the woman out, they had to file eviction papers. They put the mailbox out.
However, the camper resident was allegedly stealing electricity from the property owner, and that connection was disconnected. Officers advised the parties to stay away from each other and said the actual legal owner of the property would need to file eviction papers in court
