The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance in Chesapeake, Ohio. A 12-gauge shotgun was used to shoot Kelly G. Doss (30 yrs old) of South Point, Ohio, once in the upper torso.
According to Doss, he was in an argument with his cousin, Jacob L. Lindsay (21 yrs old) of Chesapeake, Ohio. Lindsay allegedly fired one shot from the shotgun and some pellets struck him.
There were no apparent life-threatening effects from the pellets, which looked like birdshot.
Lawrence County EMS transported Doss to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
