Portsmouth Man Arrested for 39th Time

Portsmouth Police and CPS cooperate to help some kids in a difficult situation and a case of indecent exposure are among the highlights from the Portsmouth Police Chief’s Daily Briefing.

Burglary In Progress

An 8th Street caller reported a burglary in progress at 8:36 am.  A man was on the back porch attempting to get in.

Police discovered an intoxicated man had fallen, cutting his lip. EMTs determined he didn’t need medical attention. His mom took him home.

CPS and Cops Cooperate To Help Kids

Officers responded to a request to stand by while a woman collected her belongings just after 3:32 pm. They ended up taking a woman into custody on the scene and calling CPS to help with her children.

CPS and PPD were able to place the children with their grandmother. Officers took the woman to jail.

Indecent Exposure

At 5:38 pm, a Summit Street caller reported a man exposing himself on Summit Street. Three units responded and discovered the guy had overdosed.

Officers called an ambulance and it transported the man to SOMC.
