CPS Called When Nobody’s Home To Collect Child

Officer responded to a local school at 5:30 pm, when a bus driver reported that they were unable to take a child home because there was nobody there. 

School officials attempted to call the parents and the grandparents with no luck. Deputies contacted CPS, and a supervisor was dispatched to pick up the child. 

Taco Bell Employee Spots Woman in Trouble

A sharp-eyed Taco Bell employee spotted a woman in trouble at the Taco Bell in Wheelersburg. When a deputy went through the drive-thru, the employee reported a disturbing incident. 

The employee said there was a vehicle with a male driver and an unconscious female passenger. She said the woman was unable to be awakened, and the man didn’t seem to care. He told employees he would not take her to an ER. The employee said the truck was headed to West Virginia via US 52. 

Officer issued a BOLO to Lawrence County, but police could not locate the driver.
