A dad who’d been sober for more than a year nearly lost his life after relapsing. Officers and EMS were called to a home after a woman returned home from a pediatrician’s appointment with her baby and found her husband on the floor.

EMS and the Fire Department worked to revive the man with Narcan, but it took both a nasal spray and an IV.

The wife explained that the husband had been sober for a year and that his drug of choice was fentanyl.  When the man came to, he explained that he thought that he was using cocaine, but he wasn’t sure.

He explained that he’d been at a Sheetz store in Huntington and spotted a guy who looked out of it. The man walked up to the guy and asked if he had drugs to sell him, and the man complied.

Medics transported the man to the hospital for treatment.
