Officers and medics responded to a report of a dangerous overdose around 11:30 pm. The caller said the victim was barely breathing.
Medics found the man in pretty poor shape and rushed him to SOMC for treatment. However, officers were concerned he might not survive and took steps to begin an investigation and perhaps contact the coroner. There were also animals on the scene to take care of, so dispatch sent for animal control to handle them.

Two hours later, a woman overdosed on Campbell Avenue, and a caller said she was unresponsive despite being given two doses of Narcan. Medics responded to the scene, but officers were unable to make contact with the victim.
