DAUGHTER ARRESTED AFTER VIOLENT ATTACK ON MOTHER

A disturbing case of family violence unfolded when a woman rushed into Edgewood Manor on Big Bear Creek Road around 2 a.m., reporting that her own daughter had assaulted her, injured her mouth, and stolen her phone. Staff quickly called the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, and when a deputy arrived, they assessed the woman’s injuries and called for an ambulance. However, the victim refused medical treatment and instead requested a ride home. LOCKED OUT & LOCKED UP! When deputies arrived at the woman’s home, they found that her daughter had locked her out of the house. The mother gave officers permission to enter, and deputies took the suspect, Amanda Lewis, into custody. During the arrest, officers also discovered that Lewis had open warrants from the New Boston Police Department. NBPD officers arrived at the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to formally serve those warrants. Lewis now faces domestic violence charges and remains booked in the Scioto County Jail.
