David Homer Childers, 64, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born December 15, 1958, in Portsmouth, to Joyce Ann Ward Childers and the late David Aaron Childers,
Dave retired from the Boilermakers Union Local 105 in Piketon and was proud to have received a pin for 40 years of service. A 1977 Portsmouth High School graduate, he enjoyed gardening and attended Rubyville Community Church.
Surviving is his mother, Joyce Ann Childers, with whom he made his home; and two siblings, Randy (Susie) Childers and Diane (Rick) Daniels, all of Minford.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Calvin Ray Evans officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour..
