David James Meadows, 14
David James Meadows, 14 of West Portsmouth went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was born November 8, 2006, in Portsmouth to David Meadows Jr. and the late Elizabeth Conley. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Pack, and uncle, Chris Boyd.
Baby Dave was a blessing to all that knew him. David was a lover of sports and enjoyed playing football and basketball with his brothers. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Along with his father, he leaves behind his mother, Marcella Meadows, 7 brothers; Cody Hamilton, Dylan Conley, Austin Meadows, Jason Meadows, Blake Meadows, Zackery Ward, and Joshua Ward, 3 sisters; Gabby Hamilton, Sara Ward, and Aleah Meadows, 6 uncles; Bunk Conley, Otis Conley, Jay Conley, Ray Clay, Bart Journey Jr., and Robert Allen, 5 aunts; Becky Clay, Louisa Byrd, Veronica Shover, Georgetta Collins, and Bobbie Collins, great aunts and uncles; Leo (Donna) MacKenzie and Louie (Vicky) Bentley, beloved grandparents; James Conley, Debra Conley, and David (Donna) Meadows, and his best friend, Logan Lawson, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2021, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Richard Jordan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 3:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to
