David W. Felty, 74, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. He was born on December 22, 1951, to the late Ralph and Erma (Hannah) Felty.
David was a retired boilermaker and a member of Boilermakers Union Local 105 out of Piketon, OH. He lived life on his own terms and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time out on the river in a boat. He had a love for Harleys and muscle cars. A great storyteller, David had a way of keeping people entertained and was known by many as “Diamond Dave.” He leaves behind many stories, good times, and friendships that will be remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Gabriel Felty of Hilliard, OH, and Davi Jo (Brandon) Craycraft of South Shore, KY; two grandchildren, Abigail and Connor Craycraft; one brother, Ralph “Rabbit” Felty; two sisters, Christa (Raymond) Lewis and Cheryl Bush; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many friends who will miss him dearly.
His brother, Ralph “Rabbit” Felty, will be making arrangements for a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
