Deanna Kaye Adams

Deanna “Dee” Kaye Adams, 79, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) Hospice.

Dee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She was married to her husband, Danny Lee Adams, for 61 years, sharing a lifetime of love, commitment, and memories together.

She is survived by her daughter, Jaime Cooper; her grandchildren, Justin (Cori) Cooper and Jeremy (Kelsey) Cooper; and her great-grandchildren, Ryder Lane Cooper, Harper Jo Cooper, Remington Kole Foote, and Huxon Tate Cooper.

Dee built a meaningful career as a field agent for Stone and Webster at the A Plant and later as a real estate agent and later obtained brokers license. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She had a love for horses and found joy in the simple moments of life. Dee especially loved riding her scooter around Wheelersburg, visiting with her neighbors, and staying connected with those around her. She also loved Christmas, taking great pride in setting up her large Christmas scene each year, something her family and others always looked forward to. Dee was also honored to serve as a torchbearer during the Portsmouth leg of the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch Relay, a moment she was proud to be a part of and one that reflected her spirit and involvement in her community.

Dee will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the way she made people feel welcome. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
