Delilah ‘Louise’ Hall, 82, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Portsmouth, OH., on December 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Arthur Porter.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Donald B. Hall who passed in December of 2003; seven brothers, Jim, Walter, William, Robert, Charles, Raymond, and George Porter; four sisters, Virginia Glispie, Trish Sensabaugh, Thelma Porter, and Carolyn Carver.
Louise was a loving wife and mother. She cherished her family, especially her great-grandkids. She worked hard at various jobs over the years but her favorite was feeding the kids at South Portsmouth School. She loved cooking and was known for her no-bake cookies.
Left behind to cherish her memory is one son, Greg (Kim) Hall of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; two daughters, Terena Tackett of South Shore, Kentucky, and Gwen (Patrick) Roche of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; grandkids, Greg (Savannah) Hall, Ray (Katie) Tackett, Nick (Amanda) Tackett, Bradley (Whitney) Fluty, Sarah (Shawn) Fluty, Lee (Ana) Fluty, Adam Fluty, and Brendan Roche; great-grandkids, Winnie, Evie, Lincoln, Quinlee, Rowe, Harper, and Zayla; brother, Frank Porter and sister, Rose Cantrell. Along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with her brother-in-law Dave Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY., beside her husband. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
