Dennis is survived by his caring son, John “Chris” Percell, and his fiancée, Tricia, of Portsmouth. His brother, Mike (Connie) Percell of Wheelersburg, his nephew, Mike (Debbie) Percell, II, and nieces: Cindy Percell of Wheelersburg, and Denise Howard of Trenton, MI, who meant the world to him. He loved his family deeply and cherished the time he got to spend with them.

Dennis was known for his deep-rooted faith as a Free Will Baptist and will always be remembered for his dedication to helping others on the path to recovery. His work at Hopesource, in the recovery center industry, was a testament to his commitment to making a positive impact on those in need.

Throughout his life, Dennis forged strong bonds with his close friends, including his neighbor turned confidant, Mark Trogdon. Together, they shared many cherished moments, from enjoying meals and movies to cheering on their favorite football teams. Mark looked after Dennis as his health worsened and took care of him the way a brother would which Dennis was so very thankful for. In addition to Mark, friends like Jaime and Lindsay Colley, Garrett Stamper, Joni Bentley, Scott Kitchen, and Randy Hone were also instrumental in filling Dennis’s life with joy and companionship. This special group of friends contributed to Dennis living a happy, full and interesting life. Each of them had a special place in Dennis’ heart, and he loved them dearly.

A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at American Legion Post 23 at a later date, officiated by Brady Womack. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude’s or Samaritans Purse, causes that were close to Dennis’s heart.
