Multiple Deputies took part in the search for a suicidal man in Harrison Township just before 4 pm.
The troubled man’s girlfriend contacted 911 to say he had made threats to commit suicide and already made a plan on how to do it. She also said he was carrying a weapon and had left the scene. She advised law enforcement where his parents lived in case he has headed in that direction.
Deputies patrolled the road along with OSP, searching several locations before they finally located the man about 45 minutes later. They sent for a rescue squad and the man was transported to SOMC for treatment.
Passed Out on Disterdick Lane
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Green Township after a report of a man passed out against a truck on Disterdick Lane.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man with an open warrant in nearby Lawrence County.
Lawrence County Deputies met up with SCSO Deputies at the county line to hand over the suspect.
Dogs Left Locked in Car Turned Over to Dog Warden
Just after 2:35 pm, a caller alerted Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies to two dogs locked in a vehicle on St. Rt. 125. The concerned citizen offered to show officers exactly where the animals were located.
Deputies, the Dog Warden, and a Humane Agent responded to the scene. The dogs’ owner was willing to surrender the animals to a humane agent.
The humane agent said she would attempt to find a rescue to take the dogs.
