Deputies Take Troubled Man Home Multiple Times

Area deputies often have to take on multiple roles, including assisting those in the midst of a mental health crisis.

Just before noon, a deputy responded to a complaint of a damaged mailbox and ended up taking the man to his brother’s home on Elder Avenue.

Twenty minutes later a caller reported a man on Twin Bridges carrying a machete. It turned out to be the same gentleman, though he had a baseball cap in hand and not a machete. Officers once again returned him to his brother’s home.

An hour later, a caller reported the same man was out in the front yard yelling and throwing things.

By the time officers arrived, the man’s brother had escorted him inside. He said he was attempting to find some type of help for his brother.
