Just before midnight, a Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a crash near Offnere and 11th Streets in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. A passenger in the car hit her head. Portsmouth Officers arranged for the vehicle to be towed and another deputy transported the deputy who was driving the vehicle to SOMC to be checked out.
A deputy then gave the injured deputy a ride home.
The cause of the accident remains under review.
