Stolen Jeep Found Stripped on Clinton Furnace Road
Deputies discovered the location of a stolen Jeep after a woman reported her son had discovered an abandoned, stripped Jeep in a wooded section of a field near Clinton Furnace Road.
Her son assisted officers in locating the vehicle, which did come back reported as stolen. Deputies spoke to the owner, who said her insurance company had already paid for the vehicle.
Officers said the area was extremely muddy, and it was impossible for a towing company to get back there to get to the vehicle. Police said they would have to wait until the area dried out to attempt to retrieve the remains of the vehicle.
