Portsmouth residents dealt with the continuing problem of needles left behind by drug users.
An Argonne Road resident called PPD just after noon to report her dog had discovered a syringe behind their home. She said the dog seemed to be okay, but she wanted to speak with an officer. An officer confiscated the syringe and disposed of it in a sharps container.
A Campbell Avenue caller called police at 3 pm, to report she’d found a bag of needles on the sidewalk in front of her home.
Officers took possession of the bag of hypodermic syringes and disposed of them in a sharps container.
