Dog Attack on Highland Avenue
Police, medics, and Animal Control responded to a report of a dog biting a woman in the 1800 block of Highland Avenue just before 6 pm.
The victim refused transport to the hospital. Police located the dog at Vinton and Hutchins at 6:20 pm. Animal control arrived just before 7 pm and cited the dog’s owner in the incident.
Dog Quarantined After Biting West Portsmouth Woman
Just after 3 pm, deputies responded to West Portsmouth when a man contacted the SCSO to report his neighbor’s dog bit his girlfriend.
Deputies and the Dog Warden searched the area for the beagle mix. When the Dog Warden located the animal, the victim chose not to press charges.
The Dog Warden took information from the animal, and it was determined the dog would be quarantined for 10 days.
