Officers responding to a report of a man assaulting a dog in a meth-fueled rage discovered an unsafe situation that required immediate action.
Just after 12:30 pm, police received a call that a man and woman were arguing. The caller said the man was on meth and was yelling and screaming. They also said he threw the dog across the room and was breaking things.
When officers arrived at the home, they said the man didn’t appear to be intoxicated and that the disagreement seemed to be verbal. However, the Grandview Avenue home was in such poor shape that they called the city in to condemn it. The health department also removed six dogs from the premises.
