Donald Harrison Altman, 81 of McDermott, died Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born October 8, 1941, in Lucasville, a son of the late James Emory and Sarah Margaret Crabtree Altman.
Don was a former chauffeur for the Community Action Organization and served in God’s Priesthood since 1984. He was a member of the McDermott Community of Christ.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Rufus Altman; three sisters, Martha Rachel Ball, Mary Katheryn Altman, and Delores Ann Altman.
Don is survived by two sisters, Margaret Viola Krueger of Waverly and Esther Varlee Ivanov of Sterling, Colorado; he leaves behind many loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the McDermott Community of Christ with Mick Gillette officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
