Donald Ray Ashley, 60, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday March 19, 2023. He was born April 24, 1962 in Portsmouth, a son of Donald Ashley of Wheelersburg and the late Donna Ashley.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy, worked at Mill’s Pride, loved Wheelersburg Football (ringing the cow bell ), making lots of noise and listening to music on his porch.
Don is also survived by a son, Tyler Ashley and a daughter, Trina Dillow and husband Nathan all of New Boston; a sister, Ginnie ( Tony) Lyons of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; brothers, Larry Ashley of Sciotoville, Roger (Karen) Ashley of Rineyville, KY and Bruce Ashley of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Josh Tabor, Jayse Tabor, Kaelyn Tabor and Natelie Dillow .
Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday March 25, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Aaron Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside Rites provided by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Friday 5 to 7 PM and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
