Double Overdose Reported at Woodbine Apartments
Officers and EMS personnel responded to the Woodbine Apartments on Kendall Avenue after a report that two men were unresponsive.
The first call about an unresponsive man came in at 1:36 am. Then, five minutes later, the caller contacted 9-1-1 again, to report a second person was now unresponsive.
Medics arrived at the scene a few minutes later and administered Narcan. Both men regained consciousness. Officers found no drugs on the scene, so they left the men in the care of two women at the scene.
Later that evening, the Scioto County Sheriff’s office relayed a report of an overdosed woman at a Summit Street home. Portsmouth Fire Department medics revived the woman, who became upset and asked that everyone leave. She refused further medical treatment.
