Dr. Jeffrey M. Miller, 52 of Lucasville, OH, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center following a massive stroke. Jeff was born July 4, 1970 to Louanne (Ross) Miller Huff of New Cumberland, WV. Besides his mother, he is survived by his dad, Ed Huff; his wife of nearly 30 years, Laura Jo (Buckle) Miller; daughters, Meagan and Hali Miller; sons, Caleb (fiancée Cami) and Kyle Miller; brother and best friend, Jason “Jake” Miller and his wife, Cyndi. He is also survived by his in-laws, Donald and Janet Buckle; brother- and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Ashley Buckle; nephews, Wyatt and Blake Buckle; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jeffrey was predeceased by his daughter, Jonevaeh; infant brother, Christopher, grandparents, Lester and Virginia Ross, Joe Miller, Jean Lockhart; influential uncles, Bob and Tom Ross, and Ron Miller, and Aunt DeeDee (Miller) Noonan.

Jeffrey graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1988; received an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Mount Vernon Nazarene University; Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Master of Arts Degree in Theology, and A Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling Psychology from Emmanuel Baptist University, and a Doctorate in Theology from Anderson’s Bible College. Jeffrey accepted Jesus and was baptized in 1987 while attending the New Cumberland Church of the Nazarene.

He was ordained by the Rubyville Community Church on January 6, 2008, having received the call to preach while visiting a Buddhist Temple in China in August 2006. He first pastored at Scioto Baptist Church in 2008, served as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at Ohio Christian University, Circleville, OH, pastored at 7th Street Christian Baptist, pastored at The Gospel Lighthouse, worked as an ACPE Chaplain with Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for Southern Ohio Medical Center, a hospice chaplain for two other facilities, was a counselor for Ascend (Solace), and worked as a bench jeweler and designer.

He had been a licensed Realtor in the State of Ohio, a licensed Auctioneer in the State of Ohio and West Virginia, and a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Ohio. Jeffrey had been a radio personality in stations both in Ohio and Kentucky.

He had been an award-winning taxidermist in Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana and a Mason with the Lucasville Chapter. He was on the board of the Southwest Indian Mission, Vice President of the Gold Prospectors Club in Lucasville, GPAA Lucasville Chapter, and was an author of two devotionals and several newspapers and newsletter columns.

Over the years, Jeffrey has touched the lives of hundreds with his love, compassion and his many gifts and talents in the United States as well as Canada, Honduras and Mexico. Even in death Jeffrey offered tissue donation with Life Center Organ Donor Network.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastors Calvin Ray Evans, Brian Baer, and George Vastine officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 to 3:00, prior to service.
