If Portsmouth police officers earned reward points for frequent stops, the Four Keys Inn would be sending them on an all-expenses-paid vacation by now. This motel has long been a magnet for mayhem and yesterday was no different — with a parade of police cars and ambulances pulling in like clockwork.

🕐 1:45 PM — DRUG COMPLAINT
It all kicked off when motel employees called in concerns about suspected drug activity. Officers arrived, took down the details, and left… but they wouldn’t be gone for long.

🕑 2:00 PM — REFUSING TO LEAVE
Just fifteen minutes later, the same motel reported guests refusing to leave. One man finally caved, carrying his belongings out to a truck in what could only be described as the slowest checkout in Portsmouth history.

2:30 PM — MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Before the dust could settle, EMS crews raced into the lot for a man suffering from chest pains. Officers stood by as medics worked, adding yet another twist to the day’s growing incident list.

🕔 5:00 PM — THE MYSTERY PHONE
By late afternoon, police were back for Round Four — a complaint that a woman had a man’s phone and refused to hand it over. The man? The same one who’d been taken to the hospital earlier. Turns out he’d simply left the phone behind in his room. After a quick handoff, everyone went their separate ways.

💡 How to Avoid This Kind of Drama:

At the Four Keys Inn, the saying seems to be: You can check in any time you like, but the police might have to see you out.
