Driving while sleeping can be just as dangerous as driving while intoxicated, and a wreck on US 52 proved that point.
Just before 1:30 a.m., the driver contacted 9-1-1 to say he’d fallen asleep driving on US 52 and wrecked his truck. However, locating the man proved not to be an easy task. He said he’d almost made it to the Wheelersburg exit but was confused from the accident and not sure where he was.
Deputies located the victim near the Wheelersburg exit and sent for fire, EMS, and the Ohio State Patrol.
