Driver Leads Cops on High-Speed Chase, Ditches Vehicle 

A deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle on State Rt. 348 at 4 am, but the vehicle took off down the road and pulled into a driveway.  

Officers found the vehicle abandoned after the suspect took off on foot. Police contacted a towing company to impound the vehicle. 

Man Arrested After Police Chaise 

When officers attempted to stop a vehicle at 8th and Harmon Streets just after 10 pm, the driver took off. However, he did not get far. Police took him into custody after a short pursuit.  

Officers arranged to have the vehicle towed and took Jimmy Lee Jones into custody for a parole violation, tampering with evidence, and failure to comply. They also impounded multiple items from the vehicle. 

This was Jones’ 10th arrest in Scioto County. He is currently on parole for a sentence on drug charges.
