Two 911 calls just minutes apart painted a chaotic scene in Wheelersburg—ending with one man in custody and a woman taken for medical care.

Scioto County Sheriff’s deputies were first dispatched after a woman reported her husband had hit her multiple times and was trying to leave the area.

Just three minutes later, the husband called 911 as well, claiming the woman had also made physical contact with him.

When deputies arrived, they separated the parties and began investigating.

Based on what they found, officers took Samuel Shriver into custody on a domestic violence charge.

An ambulance was called to the scene to evaluate the woman.

Shriver was booked into the Scioto County Jail.

He later appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court, where a domestic violence protection order was issued. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on May 12.
