Worried Pastor

A concerned pastor asked police to check in on a member of his congregation just before 6 pm. He said the man has regularly been attending church and also talks to him several times a day. He was unable to contact the man, who is not well, and feared he might have fallen.

Officers headed over to the man’s High Street home and discovered he was fine. He did not recognize the phone number as belonging to the pastor and did not answer. He called the pastor to let him know he was okay.

Grand Theft Auto

A Campbell Avenue caller reported someone stole his vehicle parked outside the Fishbowl. He did not know the tag number but said the vehicle was missing its front bumper.

When officers arrived on the scene at 7 pm, no one inside the bar knew anything about a stolen car.

Barred from the Bar

Just after 11 pm, police were called to Frank & Steins Lounge for a report of a woman on the barred list who didn’t want to leave the bar.

She left before the police arrived. Officers also advised her date to leave just in case she came back for him.

Just after midnight, she returned and started a fight with someone in the bar. However, she once again left before the police arrived.

Suspicious Activity

Right before midnight, an officer discovered the gate to the Mary Ann Street Impound lot open and the motor turned off.  The officer couldn’t tell if anything had been tampered with or stolen. They reset the gate and closed it.

Police received two reports regarding a man stumbling around on Gallia Street. The first was at 4:30 pm when witnesses reported an elderly man stumbling in the Save A Lot Parking lot. Half an hour later, a caller reported a man staggering and falling on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of Gallia. Officers could not locate the man.
