ER Employees Assaulted at SOMC 

Officers responded to a report that a patient had assaulted two ER employees at SOMC at 12:58 pm.  

However, when they arrived on the scene, the employees said they did not want to press charges because they felt the incident was related to medical issues due to drug use. 

The patient was sedated, and everything was fine now. 

Woman Bugs Out at Long John Silver’s 

Officers responded to Long John Silvers on Chillicothe Street after witnesses reported that a woman was causing a scene in the store and intimidating the employees. 

The caller said the woman was upset about an alleged bug on her cup. By the time officers arrived on the scene, the woman had left. Police learned the store had issued her a refund.  

Child Spotted Wandering on US 52 

Just after 6 pm, officers responded to a report of what witnesses said was an 11-year-old child walking on the highway towards New Boston from the Sciotoville Exit of US 52. 

Police caught up with the child and gave it a ride home. They also contacted CPS and took information for a report.
