Evelyn G. (Lindamood) Osborne was born on January 27, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was the eldest child of Claude Lindamood and Rosa Horsley Lindamood.
After the 2007 passing of her husband of sixty years, John I. Osborne, Evelyn began the task of journaling her lifelong memories. So fluent were her writings, that each memory captured the reader. She was a small child during the Great Depression and she had vivid memories of being a seven-year-old child during the 1937 flood.
At the age of sixteen, Evelyn became the bride of a WWII combat veteran. Evelyn worked at the former Phoenix Pie company and was employed by Mitchellace for many years. Evelyn’s greatest loves were God and family. She was a strong, gentle, loving, guiding mother of three and a woman of faith who was a member of Union Freewill Baptist Church in Wheelersburg, Ohio, where she was voted “Mother of the Year” in 2015.
Evelyn began her first memory as a child skipping along the floodwall beside her father to reach their destination, a little houseboat on the Ohio River. Her Daddy picked her up and took her aboard….
Along with her loving husband, John I. Osborne, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Claude Lindamood Jr, Ralph Lindamood and James Prestel; three sisters, Delores Lindamood, Ella Fannin and Mary Martin and her lifelong friends, Ethyle Blizzard and Eleanor Horsley.
Surviving are her children, Mark Osborne, Aurora Webb and Mollie (Bud) Radtke; her grandchildren, August (Hilda) Radtke, Ira (Jimmie Lynn) Bays, Tim (Pam) Bays, Lori (Jerry) Prise, Christi Grider, Angela (Matt) Andrews, Jenny Osborne and John (Dawn) Osborne. Her great-grandchildren, Lacy (Wes) Bame, Justin Bays, Abby (Trevor) Ward, Ari (Christian) Conley, Adam Osborne, Sebastian Andrews, William Andrews, Rebecca Wolfe and Alexander Barrett. She also had three great-great grandchildren, Blake and Savannah Bame and Gabriel Feinstein.
Also surviving are two brothers, Bob (Iva) Lindamood, Raymond (Barb) Lindamood and two sisters, Ann Goddard and Ruth Morter.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) with Pastor Zack Conkel officiating. Interment will follow at Haverhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
