Facebook Fraudster Sells Dogs and Cars

Facebook Fake Fraud

We’ve warned you before about Facebook fraudsters putting up fake posts with items for sale. They take the money and don’t deliver. It happened again recently in Ironton.

Officers were called to a home where a woman said she’d put $250 down on a vehicle listed on Facebook. The sellers sent her pictures of the car, a bill of sale, and provided an address. When she showed up at the Ironton home, the people didn’t know what she was talking about.

The residents said scammers had used their address multiple times to offer dogs and vehicles for sale. Police took information for a report and advised the woman to contact her bank and report she was a victim of fraud.
