Deputies were called in to investigate after a family claimed three armed individuals broke into their trailer home and threatened them with weapons.
The couple said they spotted three people they knew outside their Proctorville home with flashlights. They said the group tried to get into the house through the bedroom window and moved into another bedroom.
They said the intruders used a knife to cut the electricity to the house, and at one point, someone pointed a shotgun at them. They claimed the group started throwing things at them and left the house.
The pair said they had video evidence but planned to give it to the FBI, prosecutors, and the news instead of the Lawrence County Deputies on the scene. They also said nothing was missing from the home.
