Family-friendly Portsmouth Pride Accepting Vendors

Family-friendly Portsmouth Pride looking for vendors

Portsmouth Pride is looking for a few good vendors to set up shop at the third annual Portsmouth Pride celebration.

Co-founder of the event, Pastor Justin DeLong calls it a “public celebration of love, diversity, and solidarity“ with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) members of the community.

Sponsored by the Portsmouth Welcoming Community, a local Community of Christ congregation formed in 2018, the event will take place on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at Tracy Park in Portsmouth, Ohio from 11 am -2 pm.

PWC co-pastor Bennie Blevins says that, unlike some pride events in larger cities, Portsmouth Pride is family-friendly and everyone is welcome to come and celebrate diversity, equality, and love.

The celebration will kick off with a Pride Walk from the Shawnee State University Vern Riffe Center to Tracy Park at 11 am.

Vendors will be selling food, jewelry, pet attire, and other items at the park from 11 am – 2 pm.

Organizations including Community Action, the Scioto County Health Department, Equitas, the ACLU of Ohio, and HRC will also be set up at the celebration.

There will also be performances by local bands including Mikey Mike and Big Unit. Drag artist Ariel Assault will be the MC.

Portsmouth Pride is currently looking for more vendors to sign up for the event. The cost for space to set up a table is $10 for non-profit organizations and $30 for vendors.

A $50 donation a shout out at the Pride Festival and any donation above $50 gets your name, business, and organization listed on the Pride banner and in all advertising. To confirm your spot or to be a vendor please email
