Fatal Overdose Reported in West Portsmouth
Just before 1 am, deputies and EMS responded to a report of an overdose in West Portsmouth. Witnesses said the victim was not breathing.
When officers and EMS arrived on the scene, they determined that the victim was deceased. Officers contacted the coroner’s office and took information for a report.
The next day, just before 11 am, there was another report of an overdose, this time at the Shawnee State Park Campgrounds. A caller reported an overdose in the bathrooms.
Medics responded to the scene but did not transport the victim to the hospital.
