Another out-of-town drug dealer thought he could make easy money in Portsmouth — and once again, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force shut it down.
A Cincinnati man is behind bars after officers seized fentanyl, crack cocaine, cash, and a loaded gun during a SWAT-assisted raid on 12th Street.
Afternoon Raid, Big Haul
Just before 5 p.m. on October 27, task force officers and Portsmouth Police SWAT rolled up to 1556 12th Street with a search warrant in hand.
Inside, they found a dealer’s toolkit:
- 💀 390.81 grams of suspected fentanyl/opioids
- 💎 51.09 grams of suspected crack cocaine
- 🔫 A loaded firearm
- ⚖️ Digital scales and sandwich baggies
- 💵 $1,673 in cash
Police say the stash had a street value of about $51,900.
Cincinnati Man Behind Bars
Officers arrested 28-year-old Eric Tywan Johnson, of Cincinnati, on:
- 🚨 Trafficking in Drugs (F1)
- 🚨 Possession of Drugs (F1)
He’s being held in the Scioto County Jail and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The case will be turned over to the Scioto County Grand Jury for possible additional felony charges.
