First Responders Break Down Door To Save Overdose Victim

First Responders broke down the door at a Grandview Avenue Apartment after a report of an overdose.

Officers and medics responded to a report that a man had overdosed inside an apartment, but no one could get inside. The Portsmouth Fire Department forced their way in, but no one was inside.

After that, someone told first responders that the victim was actually inside another apartment. Officers and medics checked the other apartment, but nobody was inside.

Eventually, they located the man.

Police ended up taking a man with open warrants into custody and transported him to the Scioto County Jail. Additionally, they contacted the property manager to report the damage to the door.
