For decades, rumors swirled around Portsmouth attorney and city councilman Mike Mearan and his alleged role in human trafficking. Now, investigative files reveal a broader network of men accused of paying for sex with women Mearan supplied.

The third suspect identified is Marc Rash, a man who appears in photos and videos sitting at an Ohio State football game alongside Mearan, Victim J, and Victim I.

Victim J told investigators she was introduced to Rash by Mearan and had sex with him on multiple occasions—all encounters arranged by Mearan. She specifically recalled having sex with Rash after that OSU football game. Victim B also identified Rash as one of the men she was trafficked to.

The public image is jarring: a respected man at a football game, enjoying himself in the open, while secretly involved in a trafficking ring. “It’s that double life,” Craycraft explained. “On the surface, these men looked like regular professionals—going to games, living normal lives. But behind the scenes, women were being sold like property.”

Like the cases of Schaub and Biggs, Rash’s alleged involvement was not an isolated incident. Victims described a network where Mearan acted as a middleman, arranging introductions, booking travel, and exchanging money.

This is what makes the case so explosive. It wasn’t just Mearan—it was a circle of men, protected by silence and power, exploiting women for years.
