Full Code After Dexter Avenue Overdose
A dangerous overdose situation played out on Dexter Avenue.
Just after 2 pm, a caller reported a woman had overdosed and was not breathing. The caller started CPR, and another person on the scene administered Narcan.
By the time medics arrived on the scene, they reported the patient was in full code. An ambulance rushed the victim to SOMC for treatment.
Under the Influence on Hillview Court
Just before 10 am, a caller reported a woman stumbling in and out of the street on Hillview Court.
Officers caught up with the woman at 28th and Coles Blvd. They arranged for a counselor from a recovery center to take the woman to a treatment facility.
High as a Kite on Grant Street
Just after 3 pm, a worried dad told police his son had taken an unknown substance and was freaking out. Officers and medics responded to the scene. The dad decided to take the son home with him.
About five minutes later, a caller reported an apparently high man behaving strangely on 8th Street. Officers took the man into custody for disorderly conduct.
Passed Out Behind The Wheel on 4th Street
At 8 am, a caller reported a man passed out in a running truck at 4th and Chillicothe.
An officer pounded on the windows, but had difficulty waking the man up. Medics checked the man out and said he didn’t need any medical attention. Officers took the man into custody for DUI and arranged to have his vehicle towed.
Drunk Driver Busted at Mac A Doo’s
A report of an impaired driver led to two arrests near the Four Keys inn. Just after 11 am, a caller reported that an intoxicated man got out of a truck with a baby in the back seat, walked to the Four Keys Inn, and then returned to the truck.
The caller said there was also another intoxicated adult in the vehicle. Police stopped the truck near Mac A Doo’s and searched it.
They discovered the female passenger had open warrants from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and Pickaway County. Police arrested her for the 18th time.
Officers arrested the man for driving under the influence and arranged for the vehicle to be towed.
