Gary Baker

Gary Baker, 76 of South Shore, passed away peacefully on December 20th at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood Kentucky.   He was born in Portsmouth Ohio on June 25th, 1948, a son of the late Ruby and Vernon Ensor, both of South Shore Kentucky.

Gary leaves behind two sons, William Shannon Baker of Orlando, Florida, and Matthew Shane Baker of Verona, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law Anne Baker of Verona, Kentucky; three grandchildren Kenton Baker and his wife Lauren of Russell, Kentucky, Mackenzie, and Dane Baker of Verona, Kentucky. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren Leah and Cade Baker of Russell Kentucky.

Gary excelled as a three-sport athlete at McKell High School from 1962-1966.  He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was a big fan of the University of Kentucky, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He was also a loyal member of the American Legion, Post 276.

Gary will be buried at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in a private service for immediate family only.
