It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Genevieve Louella Fultz, affectionately known as “Genie,” who departed this life on February 4, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on September 11, 1923, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to her parents George and Charlotte Ellen (Nee Copas) Pollitt.
Genevieve dedicated her life to her family, a beloved homemaker, nurturing them with warmth and love, and is especially remembered for her passion for baking, a talent she generously shared with those she loved. She was a devoted member of the Latter Day Saints in West Portsmouth, where she found fellowship and strength throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted E. Fultz, with whom she shared many joyful years of marriage until his passing in 1992. Their love and enduring bond remain an inspiration to all who knew them. Also preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers: Millard, Elza, Maywood and Encle pollitt and two sisters: Olive Nickles and Lorraine Fultz.
Genie’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched with her kindness and grace. She is survived by her nephews: Barry Fultz of Arizona and Doug Pollit of Ashville, Ohio, great niece Randall and Teresa Hiles of Minford and great great niece Lauren Wright of Portsmouth.
Private Funeral services will be held with interment immediately following in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, Ohio.
