Glenda Renee Watts, age 56, of Portsmouth, passed away at home, July 12, 2025; a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. She was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Slack) Hale. Glenda dedicated her career to patient care at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wurtland, KY. She had a passion for sewing, baking, and reading. Glenda really enjoyed music and would always dance around. Above all, the one thing that was certain about Glenda was that her grandkids were the center of her world, they were “her life”.
She is survived by her son, Michael Watts (Destini) of Sciotoville, OH; her daughter, Alisha Watts (Brandon) of Pedro, OH. She also leaves behind her brothers, Danny Hale and his wife Tara of Wheelersburg, OH, and Jeff Hale and his wife Yvonne of Portsmouth, OH; her sisters, Diane Brunner and her husband Doug of Portsmouth, OH, Deana Sutton and her husband David of Wheelersburg, OH, Sharon Patton and her husband Chris of West Portsmouth, OH, and Kimberly Radabaugh and her husband Bill of Minford, OH. Glenda was a cherished grandmother to two grandchildren and was loved by her nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Steve Hale, and a sister Lora Randolph.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Rusty Larter officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM- 11:00AM with interment to follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
