Gloria Lee Staker, 79 of Stockdale passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at SOMC. Born August 28, 1941, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Earnest and Cathleen Maguire Harris, she was a Portsmouth High School graduate and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Morehead University in teaching. She retired from Stockdale Schools and was a substitute teacher at Eastern Local Schools after retirement. She attended Stockdale United Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Nolan Staker; one son, Nolan Staker, II, and two grandchildren, Nicholas Staker and Alexyss Staker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Harris.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with Aaron Swango officiating. Burial will be at Stockdale Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
