Grand Theft Auto and Other Thefts Reported Over Weekend
A woman who made the mistake of leaving her door unlocked received a nasty surprise on Friday morning.
Someone opened the door to her Kendall Avenue apartment and snatched her laptop computer. Officers took information for a report.
Later that day, a Mabert Road caller reported someone broke into her truck in the 1600 block and stole several items. Officers took information for a report.
Thieves grabbed a motor scooter parked in front of the Shawnee Apartments just before 10 am on Saturday. Officers took information for a report. However, on Saturday evening, someone spotted the scooter in an alley off Court Street. Officers returned it to the rightful owner.
A 6th Street woman told police her vehicle was stolen from in front of her house sometime between Friday Night and Saturday morning.
On Sunday Afternoon, a caller reported someone broke into a vehicle parked on Summit and stole several items. Police took information for a report.
